Lucy Ann Blake

d. November 21, 2025

Lucy Ann Blake, age 77, passed away on November 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at the Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center following a long illness, She was born in Alliance, Ohio on September 8th, 1948, to Robert Blake and Lucy "Higgins" Dickey.

Lucy was a person who worked very hard for everything she had, and was a generous spirit, giving as much as she could to family and friends. She was the matriarch of her family, hosting holidays, family dinners and making sure to keep her family together. When she was no longer able to host due to her health issues, she passed down the family recipes to her granddaughter, Alicia making sure the family traditions she worked so hard to make would still continue. She also had a great love for the Dallas Cowboys, Owls, Elvis Presley, and Conway Twitty. She enjoyed fishing, crafting, dancing and playing games on her computer. She was also a great euchre player.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Blake and Lucy Higgins Dickey; her daughter, Trudy; her son, Andy; her significant partner, Jess Hilbert, and her brothers Bobby, Dave, and Bud.

She will be forever missed and cherished by her loving daughter, Jody (Robert) Ott; her grandchildren, Alicia (Jeff) Tedrow, Eric (Racheal) Strata, Tracy (Franky) Rios, Melissa Lucas, Holly Hively, and Kara Zeigler; her great-grandchildren, Shalyn, Amirah, Dougie, Isiah, Serenity, Riplee, Cole, Anna and Nova; and her four sisters, Barb, Sue, Sandy, and Nancy.
