Lucile G. (Ostermeier) Cox Brown, age 84, of Alliance passed away on Dec. 23, 2006 at McCrea Manor after a brief illness.
She was born April 13, 1922 in Sebring, Ohio to Gilbert and Genevieve (Brunner) Ostermeier.
Lucile graduated from Sebring High School in 1941 and received her nursing degree from the Salem City Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. She was a Registered Nurse in the Pediatrics Unit of the Alliance City Hospital for many years until retiring in 1984.
Survivors include her daughters Cheryl (James) Garvin of Blairsville, PA, Diane (Larry) Arwood of Baltimore, OH and Sandra Brion of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; grandchildren Christy (David) Cook, James (Kelly) Garvin, Steve (Katie) Brion and Mark (Rachel) Brion; great grandchildren Luke, Payton and Kennedy and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael R. Cox; her first husband, Ralph H. Cox Jr., her second husband, William R. Brown, sisters Jean Ostermeier, Marilyn Fowler and Ruth Sydor, and sister in law Dorothy Wagner.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams of the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
