Lorena "Lori" P. McCammon, age 91, of Alliance, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Bel-Air Care Center.
She was born October 14, 1921, in Akron, Ohio, to George H. and Ruth (Moore) Hider.
A graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, worked as a secretary and retired from B&W Research Center in Alliance.
She was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and formerly active in church activities. Ballroom dancing, golfing, and traveling were among her interests and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Lori is survived by her son, Harold "Skip" (Becky) Gardner of Salem, Ronald G. Gardner of St. Augustine, FL; two daughters, Geneva "Ginny" (Paul) Bingham of Coatesville, PA and Harlene "Terry" (William) Corbin of Downingtown, PA; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Christopher Gardner; great-grandson, Cash Allen Gardner; and two brothers, Derwin and Gerald Hider.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Francis W. Burkhart of Tri-County Church of God officiating. Friends may call from 12 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
