Linda Grace Seidl, age 71, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on February 8, 2026.
She was born on September 2, 1954, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, to John “Jack” L. Seidl and E. “Grace” (Huff) Seidl.
A 1973 graduate of Aurora High School, Linda worked as an administrative assistant for the counselors while she was a student there.
After graduating, she became a bookkeeper for the King Nut Co. in Solon, Ohio. At this time, Linda decided to devote her life to God and became a nun at the Vincentian Sisters of Charity in Bedford Heights, Ohio.
Her path in business led her to many interesting fields. She taught medical records, became a home health care coordinator, a self-taught transcriptionist, and a hospital switchboard operator at Alliance City Hospital, All-Care Home Health and Cleveland Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In addition, she worked on studies with social workers, MDs, RNs, and LPNs.
Linda also began Law Enforcement studies to become a private investigator.
After becoming disabled in 2001, she began knitting blankets for Project Linus and volunteering at Spencer Rescue and Adoption Kennel in Illinois.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory are her sister-in-law, Vera Russell; nieces, Joann Steed and Connie Anderson; nephew, John “Jack” Lewis Russell; great-nieces, Kristin and Becky; and great-nephew, Alex.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert L. Russell; and her dog, Miranda, who gave her many years of love and joy.
A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, February 23rd 5:00-7:00 p.m. The Rosary, a special devotion of Linda’s, will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 427 E Broadway St. Alliance, Ohio 44601, on Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
