Lawrence A. Jones

Lawrence A. Jones, age 80, passed away on January 27, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1945, in Alliance, to Arnold and Ruth (Diver) Jones.

Lawrence attended Atwater High School. He worked at the Ravenna Arsenal for over 20 years and then East End Welding in Tallmadge.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert (Tammy) Jones; grandsons, Robert (Thiago) Jones and Ryan (Heather) Bachus; step-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Talon, and Jace; four sisters, Marilyn Thrasher, Judy Cash, Suzie Mauck and Shirley Mellott; and best friends, Walter Scott and Gary Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Jones; step-grandson, Matthew Bachus; and a sister, Margie.

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday February 4th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Deerfield Cemetery.
