Lana Rae Vogus

Lana Rae Vogus, age 65, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1960, in Alliance, to Harold and Sylvia (Bosworth) Vogus and was a lifelong resident.

Georgie was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene and the Alliance Xexcel Workshop.

She loved music of any kind and was a huge fan of Elvis and Billy Ray Cyrus, whom she met at a concert when he held her hand while singing. Her favorite song he performed was “Achy Breaky Heart”.

Georgie also loved Cinderella and Snow White. She made two trips to Disney, in 2004 and 2019 and she got to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Always a fashion diva, she loved clothes and shopping with her cousin Erica and for the past few years, enjoyed watching her tablet.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Lou (Carol) Vogus; two nephews; cousin and caretaker for 34 years, Sherry Kearns; devoted cousin Erica Kaurich; and several other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald G. Vogus and Gary A. Vogus; and cousin, Scott E. Watson.

She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her and she knew Jesus as a personal friend.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
