Kenneth H. Mangus

Kenneth H. “Kenny” Mangus, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 9, 2026 with his loving wife as his caregiver.

He was born on June 6, 1944, “D-Day”, in Alliance, Ohio to the late Howard and Faye Mangus.

Kenny graduated from West Branch High School in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. After serving until March 1966, he worked for Alliance Electric for 16 years. Kenny then went on to work at the Alliance Review as a supervisor for 15 years and then the Canton Repository as a foreman until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Alliance, Louisville, and Canton posts.

Kenny loved fishing, especially at Guilford Lake where he learned to fish with his mom. He enjoyed long bicycle and camping trips with his wife. Kenny was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Mount Union Raiders fan. He also loved to cook and bird watch. More than anything, Kenny treasured time spent with his family and their many trips to the beach.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Mangus whom he married on May 24, 1980; children, Allen (Kristi) Mangus, Allison Mangus (Glenn Szekely), Andrew (Lindsey) Mangus, and Alexander Mangus; eight grandchildren; sister, Linda (Scott) McDonald; brother, Mark (Melanie) Mangus; and brother-in-law, Thomas (Susan) Webster.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior.
