Karol Lynn Lampe, age 68, passed away on May 20, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1957, in Alliance, to Harold and Catherine (Bainter) Lampe.

Karol graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in 1975, earned her bachelor's degree from Mount Union College in 1979, and completed her master's degree at Kent State University in 1983. She started her career with Dr. Violet in Orthopaedics and then Spectrum Orthopaedics where she worked for over 30 years. Karol also served as a teacher and athletic trainer at several local high schools. Karol was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and belonged to both the Teacher Retirement Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association.

A passionate advocate for athletics and wellness, Karol was selected to be a staff member for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. She then participated in Atlanta's renowned Peachtree Road Race every Fourth of July for more than 20 years. Her commitment to promoting active lifestyles extended to her work with the Stark County Senior Olympics, where she helped organize events for two years and played a key role in adding the triathlon. She also dedicated countless hours providing athletic training coverage for area high school tournaments.

Beyond her professional and volunteer endeavors, Karol found joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid reader and devoted animal lover, she especially enjoyed spending her evenings taking her beloved dogs for walks in the neighborhood. She will be remembered for her dedication to education, athletics, service to others, and the many lives she touched throughout her career and community involvement.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Robert J. Lampe Sr.; sisters, Barbara (John) Madsen and Donna (Kevin) Kennedy; godchildren, Megan Morrow, Suzanne Quick, and Jeff Gbur; and many nieces, nephews and their children.
