Judith Jane Betz, age 71, of Alliance, died at 10:34 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 26, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of James and Lillian (Secman) Twaddle and has been an Alliance resident all of her life.
Judy graduated from Alliance High School in 1960. She was employed at Alliance City Hospital, Keener Rubber, Kmart, then retired from Walmart.
She was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Judy enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald A. Betz, Jr. whom she married June 22, 1963; sons, Dana J. Betz Sr. of Alliance, Kevin E. (Julie) Betz of Chesapeake, VA and Dennis J. (De De) Betz of Alliance; ten grandchildren, Kelly, Dana Jr., Michael, Benjamin, Sabrina, Rachel, Justin, Tyler, Brandon and Evan; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald (Barb) Twaddle of Sebring and James (Gerri) Twaddle of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; birth mother, Jane (Pasco) Twaddle; and a granddaughter, Haley Marie Betz.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kimble officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
