Jon M. Merriman

Jon M. Merriman, age 61, of Alliance, passed away on August 26, 2022.

He was born on December 9, 1960 in Alliance to Walter and Barbara J. (Buchanan) Merriman.

Jon graduated from Marlington High School. For over 40 years he was a dedicated dry wall finisher whose masterful work can be seen in countless homes. Jon’s family and friends were everything to him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; his wife, Karen S. (Ritschard) Merriman, whom he married on December 31, 1988; his children, Garrett (Theresa) Riesen, Joshua Riesen and Bobbi Jo Jones; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Kyla, Dylan, Chandler, Derringer, Rocc and Duke: two great-grandchildren, Eliana and Abel; and his siblings, Theodore Merriman, Robert Merriman, Kay Morris and Debbie Watson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
