Jessie M. Kirksey

Jessie M. Kirksey, age 98, of Alliance, passed away at 8:25 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at her home.
She was born October 27, 1917, in Lisman, Alabama, to Freeman and Mary (Mills) Smith.
Jessie was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Floyd (Shirley) Kirksey and Freeman (Christina) Kirksey; grandchildren, Freeman Bragg, Nicole Bragg Jones, Gino Jackson, Gentria Baker, Anthony Kirksey, Raneeca Kirksey and Erica (Richard) Jackson; a host of great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velma Stark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd C. Kirksey Sr. in 1968; grandson, Freeman Baker; and six brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at noon Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Bishop Nick Myers officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
