Jerry Lee Cumbess, Sr.

Jerry Lee Cumbess, Sr., age 65, of Alliance, passed away at 5:25 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at his home.

He was born September 16, 1954, in Adell, Georgia, to Ealey and Nannie Pearl (Shipes) Cumbess.

Jerry was a miner and also maintenance man for Cornet Industries.

He was a 16 year member of Cedar Grove Church in Plant City, Florida.

Jerry always loved working with his hands.

Survivors include his wife, Sue (Guy) Cumbess of Alliance; brothers and sisters,  Billy (Felicia) Cumbess and John Cumbess, both of Florida, Ronnie (Sharon) Cumbess of North Carolina, Linda Greenfield of Ruskin, Florida, and Joyce Whitworth of Seffner, Florida; children, Mickey Cumbess and Tabatha (Ben) Smitley, both of Alliance and Jerry L. Cumbess Jr. of Florida; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Sirmons and Buddy, Bobby and Larry Cumbess.
