Jerry Lee Evans Sr.

April 26, 1937 — October 20, 2022

Jerry Lee Evans Sr., age 85, passed away on October 20, 2022.

He was born on April 26, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio, to Harold and Edith Evans.

Jerry graduated from Hillard High School and earned two masters degrees from Ohio State. Jerry also attended Methodist Theology School before serving as a Pastor. He was a Captain in the Salvation Army and taught at Akron and Columbus City Schools. Jerry was a member of Kiwanis Club and an avid Ohio State football fan. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathleen Evans; sons, Jerry (Jamie) Evans Jr., Kenneth Evans, and Theodore Evans; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; and an infant daughter, Terry Lynn.

A visitation will be held at Marlboro Christian Church on Tuesday, November 1st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and on November 2nd from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

A funeral service will be held at the church on November 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ed Carter will officiate. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marlboro Christian Church, 9383 Edison St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
