Jean Aufrance

Jean Aufrance was called home on February 18, 2026 and went to be with her Saviour whom she accepted as Lord of her life on July 9, 1950.

She was born November 29, 1935 to Harry and Iva (Beck) Waltz in Alliance, Ohio. She graduated from Alliance High School and was a member of Alliance Friends Church. Her most loved occupation was teaching pre-school at both Alliance Nazarene church and First United Presbyterian church. She married her high school sweetheart Gerald “Jerry” Aufrance, on June 20, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2010. They were blessed by three children, Steven (Lisa), Amy (Mark) and Alan (Laura) who brought much joy to their lives.

Besides her children, she is survived by grandchildren, Shannon, Douglas, Tricia, Nathaniel, and Anna Mae; and six great-grandchildren, Stormie, Trinity, Martin, Aiden, Aurelia, Ariyah, and Liam.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold William and Robert.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, February 23rd at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.

Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
