James A. Tripp, age 87, of Alliance, died at 1:40 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Roselawn Gardens.
He was born August 7, 1925, in Alliance, Ohio, to Harry and Verna (Nussdorfer) Tripp.
James attended Alliance Schools and worked for Modern LP Gas until his retirement.
He loved spending time with his family, and was a kind and gentle man who always thought of others.
James was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Jan Bugara of Alliance and Susan Filko of Amherst; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Marvel O. (Beck) Tripp whom he married in 1950 and who died September 1, 2008; and two sisters, Bonnie Hamel and Leola Ravelle.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
