James F. George

James F. “Jimmy” George, age 76, of Alliance, completed his earthly journey on September 17, 2024. 

He was born on June 23, 1948, in Alliance, to Charles and Eleanor (Donohoe) George.

Jimmy loved sports, Harley rides, playing golf, going to auctions and thrifting. He was the family storyteller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jimmy (Lori) George, Jay (Wendy) George, and Jason (Christy) Definbaugh; his loving companion, Debra Koons; siblings, Charles “Butch” George, Peggy (Dan) Lashley, Deb Schreckengost, Jackie Burch, and Mike George; grandchildren, Lauren (Tyler) Schill, Christian (Kaysie) George, Damian George, Alisha Spencer, Rhianna George, Lani George, Triniti George, Jacie George, Amber George, Harley (Ryan) Cribb, Holden George, and Jake (Nicolette Dorsey) Definbaugh; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Hallie, Kimmie, Harper, Sayler, Isiah, and Easton. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deborah (Porter) George; grandson, Zachary Definbaugh; brother, Tom (Spiv) George; and nephew, Brion Schreckengost. 

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21st at 11:30 a.m. with visitation prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
