Jacob D. May, age 65, of Alliance, died at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 23, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born February 25, 1947, in Alliance, Ohio, to George W. May Sr. and Rosetta K. (Brunner) May.
Jacob formerly attended Bolton United Methodist Church. He attended Alliance High School and worked as a truck driver for Kuntzman Trucking.
Survivors include his significant other, Alice Cook, of Alliance; children, Tonia Anderson, Laura Eberling, and Jacob D. May, Jr., all of Alliance, Tonya Johnson, Jennifer May, Jacob D. May III, and Clinton May, all of Texas; many grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Freda McCune of Alliance and Diana (John) Ormiston of North Benton; and brother, George W. (Sheila) May, Jr. of Alliance.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, William May, John May, Michael Mikol, Laura May, Emma Eddy, Leona Thompson, Wanda May, Edith May, Francis Bowman, Claradell Heslep and George Mikol.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Caldwell officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
