Helen Loretta Barany

Helen Loretta Barany, age 94, of Alliance, passed away on March 28, 2022.

She was born on March 3, 1928 in Fairchance, Pennsylvania to Charles and Mary (Kratky) Svoboda.

Helen worked for Alliance Machine Co. as a data processor until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of the Elks and St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as an usher.

Those left to cherish her memory are many nieces and nephews as well as, many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her extended family, Donna Elliott, Jesse (Brooke) Tice, Natalie and Nolan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Frank Barany, whom she married July 3, 1948 and who passed November 28, 1991; her sisters, Mary (John) Onesko, Ann (Joseph) Popovich, Agnes (Frank) Corbi, Irene (Rodger) Hollar, Roberta (Melvin) Haines and Jean (Andy) Vida; and brothers, Carl, Frank (Margaret), Joseph (Mary) and John (Betty) Svoboda.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Alliance City Cemetery with Rev. G. David Weikart.
