Gloria Margaret McLaughlin

Gloria (Eckelberry) McLaughlin, age 81, passed away on September 7, 2026.

She was born on February 22, 1945, in Canton, to Earl A. and Martha (Gobeli) Eckelberry.

Gloria worked as a secretary for MRI labels and later for Kent State Stark. She also worked in retail at Sternmann. Gloria was a member of Beechwood United Methodist Church, the Homeworth Eastern Stars and Alliance Sweet Angelines. She enjoyed crafting, knitting and crocheting. Gloria also liked to play the piano and played for the Washington Ruritan Show and for weddings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dan (Susanne) and Doug (Sharon) Dickerhoof; grandchildren, Emily (Evan), Laura (Sean), Ben, Evan (Kim), Jessica (JD Swords), and Alison (Tyler Bollinger); brother, Mark (Susan) Eckelberry; nephew, Ethan Eckelberry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
