Gleneta Kay Ray

Gleneta “Kay” Ray, age 83, passed away on May 2, 2025.

She was born on March 18, 1942, in Salem, Ohio, to Glenn W. and Loeta M. (Caldwell) Shaffer.

Kay was the owner of Shaffer’s Diner.

She enjoyed going to craft shows and traveling. More than anything, Kay loved spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her partner of over 40 years, Robert “Butch” Tucker; her daughter, Darla (Robert) Brooks; grandchildren, Curtis (Krystal) Burley and Ryan (Abby) Brooks; and great-granddaughter, Cora Burley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roger Shaffer.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 6th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior.
