Georgette Marie Copeland, age 87, passed away on September 11, 2024.
She was born on July 30, 1937, in Canton, to George and Rose (Candle) Tormasi.
Georgette graduated from Alliance High School. She worked at General Combustion and Sand Cap Abrasives. She was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church.
Georgette enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers as well as cooking. She was also a fan of Cleveland sports, including the Cavs, Browns and Guardians. Georgette was known to be meticulous and organized in all of her work. Her favorite saying was “Thank You God”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rex (Peggy Timko) Copeland; sister, Elaine (Robert) Houston; grandchildren, Kristi (T.J.) Sedei, Kelly Presley, Angela Presley, and Jennifer Copeland; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan Copeland, Lexi Sedei, and Presleigh Anne Bagnall; and great-great-granddaughter, Charleigh Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Copeland; and her daughter, Kimberly Copeland Hughes.
A private graveside service will be held at Marlboro Cemetery.
