Gary L. Smith, age 77, passed away on June 5, 2024 at Aultman Alliance Hospital.
He was born on August 2, 1946, in Alliance, to Hoy and Maxine (Perry) Smith.
Gary graduated from Kent State University. He was the former President and CEO of Morgan Engineering in Alliance.
In his younger years, Gary was a coach for many youth sports in the area. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. Gary was a longtime member, over 40 years, at the Alliance Country Club and was also a member of the Alliance Elks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen; children, Alice, Stephanie, Amy and Cliff; siblings, Patti, Randi and Doug; eight grandchildren; and his beloved dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kevin.
A private family service will be held.
