Gary Lee Marty, age 69 of Alliance, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born March 21, 1953 in Alliance, Ohio to Robert Lee and Marilyn R. (Gantz) Marty.
A 1971 graduate of Marlington High School, Gary graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.
He worked as a maintenance mechanic most of his life.
Gary enjoyed traveling out west, hiking, camping, nature and gardening.
He will be loved and missed by his family, including, his mother, Marilyn; his children, Tracie (Scott) Friel, and Travis Marty; his sister, Diane (Martin) Bates; grandchildren, Hayli Infante, Sullivan Friel, and Morgan Friel; and nieces, Kristen and Trisha Bates..
Gary was preceded in death by his father.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14th at Marlboro Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Russ Gumm officiating.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 South Union Ave., Alliance, Ohio 44601.
