Fred E. "Pete" Moore, age 86, of Alliance, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Community Care Center.
He was born May 30, 1926, in Alliance, to Fred and Minnie (Ranft) Moore.
Fred attended Alliance Believers Church and enjoyed fishing and yard sales. Fred worked for Crane Plumbing, and after his retirement, he spent time cleaning spouting.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Klopfenstein) Moore, whom he married June 18, 1983; son, Ronald L. (Barbara) Moore of Alliance; daughter, Donna (George) Zeigler of Cairo, GA; son, Daniel Moore of Alliance; daughter, Judy Ford of Alliance; stepsons, Chris (Liana) Tschappatt of VA, Mark (Harlene) Tschappatt of CO and Tom (Traci) Tschappatt of Boardman; sister, Ruth (Delbert) Ratliff of Canton; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Barbara Myers; sisters, Minnie, Elaine, Jeanette and Berdine; and brother, Clarence Moore.
Fred's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Community Care Center and the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, for their excellent care of Fred.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday November 1, 2012 at Alliance Believers Church with Pastor Harvey Mehaffie and Pastor William Lancaster co-officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alliance Believers Church, 735 E. Milner, Alliance, OH 44601.
