Fred Lewis

Fred “Ray” Lewis, age 76, passed away on February 18, 2024. 

He was born on April 19, 1947, in Elliott County, Kentucky, to Daniel and Lissa (Whitt) Lewis.

Ray graduated from Sandy Hook High School. He worked as a tool and die setter at Chrysler for over 38 years. Ray served honorably in the United State Army in the Vietnam era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 166.

Ray enjoyed fishing, working puzzles and reading westerns.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patty (Haney) Lewis; his daughter, April (Kevin) Schillig; sons, Jason Lewis and Christopher Lewis; two brothers, Oscar Lewis and Troy (Linda) Lewis; and two grandchildren, Madison Schillig and Tristan Schillig. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters, Finnetta and Gemella; sisters, Emily Jane Holbrook and Vivian Sammons; and a brother, Arthur Lewis.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, February 23^rd at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
