Emma L. Hensley age 82, of Alliance, passed away at 12:52 a.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014, at McCrea Manor.
She was born February 3, 1931, in Faxon, Oklahoma, to James F. and Florence (Henderson) Cothren.
Mrs. Hensley was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple for many years. She liked crocheting, watching birds and working puzzles.
Survivors include her children, Cathie (Joe) Kurpil, Georgia (Jim) Eberling, Bruce Hensley, Jennie Hensley and Sue (Mark) Bishop, all of Alliance, and Connie (Geno) Young of North Carolina; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Boyd, of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Terry Hensley and Jody Hensley; brothers, Clarence, James, Dean, Richard and Albert Cothren; and sisters, Gladys Ford, Margaret Walker and Annie Boucher.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Phillips officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
