Elliana Joy White, age 17, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 1, 2025, following extended complications from a second bilateral lung transplant, performed in October 2023. She was born on April 18, 2008, in Canton, Ohio, to Rob and Gina (Krabill) White. Her family is deeply grateful to the donor families who gave Elliana the gift of a second and third chance at life.
True to her middle name, Elliana radiated joy. Her infectious smile and bright spirit brought warmth and laughter to those around her—even in the midst of health challenges. She had a deep love for dogs and all things girly, and she found delight in making bracelets, playing games, singing, and listening to music. Elliana cherished staying in touch with her friends and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones.
Her strength came from her unwavering faith in the Lord. She drew comfort and peace from reading her Bible and praying regularly. Elliana was confident in her healing—whether in this life or in Heaven—and she fully embraced the promise of eternal life.
Elliana was a junior at Marlington High School and attended First Friends Church in Canton. She was also part of the "Transplant Squad," a close-knit group of girls who, having all received transplants as infants, formed a bond of friendship.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Rob and Gina White; her twin brother, David White; grandparents Larry and Kathy White, and Lee and Paulette Krabill; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Chris and Lidya White and their children Harrison and Charity; Joe and Liz St. George and their children Lorelai and Tyson; Shane and Tia Boyce and their children Emma, Aleeya, and Faith; Tara and Rob Wittensoldner and their children Ella and Lillian; and John and Emily Davis and their children Maverick, Hadessah, and Quinnten.
Elliana was preceded in death by her brother, Jeremiah Joseph White.
