Elizabeth Victoria Smith

Elizabeth “Betty” Victoria Smith, age 78, went to be with Jesus after a long and courageous battle with her health on November 18, 2023.

She was born on April 19, 1945, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, to Leonard and Ann (Stanevich) Neubert.

Betty was a 1963 graduate of Collins High School. She was an active and longtime member of the Salvation Army Church. Betty was a member of the Old Auto Enthusiast Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and had a great appreciation for the beauty of flowers.

Betty loved her family very much. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammera (James) Davis; sons, Roy Smith and Ed (Frances) Smith; brother, Thomas Neubert; sister, Ramona Reggi; four grandchildren, Andrea, Marissa, Spencer and Angel; and two great-grandchildren, Contessa and Evianna.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Dale Smith; brothers, Leonard Neubert Jr. and John Neubert; and her best friend, Sue Mikes.  

Visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, November 27^th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday November 28^th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00. Pastor Ron Lanham will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
