Elizabeth Kaley

Elizabeth J. Kaley, age 91 of Deerfield, passed away at 7:46 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at her daughter's home. She was born November 26, 1920 in Harrison, Nebraska to Ernest and Myrtle (Convers) Herren. A graduate of Deerfield High School, Betty attended Kent State University. She was previously employed by Highland Home Health, and retired from Portage Head Start. A member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sebring, "Miss Betty" was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her children, Claudia (Gary) Russell of Oatman, AZ, Linda (David) Ruth of Alliance, Carol Kaley of Mentor, Patricia (Dennis) Adkins of Deerfield, Michael (Sun) Kaley of Marlboro, MD, John (Linda) Kaley of Deerfield, Timothy Kaley of Yuma, AZ, and Edward Kaley of Alliance; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph Kaley, sons, Thomas Kaley and Ralph Kaley Jr., daughter Sue Ann Kaley, grandson, Mark Ruth, and brother, Ronald. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
