Dwight S. Brugger passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

He was born August 31, 1932 in Alliance to the late Samuel & Cleo Brugger.

Dwight was a member of the Salem Community Church in Alliance. As a Dairy Farmer, he loved his land and livestock. His love for his wife, family, sacred music, reading the Bible, and organ music were all important segments of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ruth Ann (Wallace); sister, Irene Harris; sister-in-law, Darlene Brugger; children Marie (Dave) Sanders, Eileen (Kenny) Rummell, Chris (Bruce) Wolf, and Eldon (Shari) Brugger; grandchildren, Michelle (Bill) Kenney, Valerie (Eli) Slabaugh, Jeremy (JoEllen) Sanders, Rachel (Jon) Krabill, Lydia Hammond, Hannah (Greg) Cress, Issac (Chelsea) Rummell, Melissa Slusni, Jenna (Bryan) Scafidi, Tiffany (Farrell) Belknap, Lindsay (Nate) Sheen, Bethany (Nick) Kinnard, Brittany (Eric) McCracken; as well as 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dwaine; and brother-in-law, Hal Harris.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 20th from 11:00 to 1:00 with funeral following at Salem Community Church located at 14113 Salem Church St, Alliance, Ohio with Dr. Eric McCracken and Rev. Neil Orchard officiating.

Dwight will be laid to rest at Freeburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care in Green, Ohio and Salem Community Church.
