Dwaine "Pooch" Barrett

Dwaine "Pooch" Barrett, age 86, of passed away at 11:45 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1930, in Mantua, Ohio, to Loren and Sadie (Teter) Barrett and lived most of his life in Marlboro.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dwaine worked as an independent truck driver. He was also a member of the Lions Club, VFW and a former Marlboro Volunteer Fireman.
He is survived by his sons, Brett and Bart Barrett, both of Las Vegas; and sisters, Patty Bauer of Alliance and Peggy Scott of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice (Hutzley) Barrett, who passed away August 27, 1997; and brother, Dwight Barrett.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
