Duane L. Middleton

Duane L. “Dewey” Middleton, age 75, passed away on March 17, 2024. 

He was born on November 4, 1948, in Alliance, to Dewey “Torchy” and Marilyn (Bixler) Middleton.

Duane graduated from Alliance High School in 1966. He worked for Transue Williams Stamping and later the Alliance City Parks Department. Duane served in the National Guard. 

Duane loved sports; he played Hot Stove baseball, bowled, and played golf at Oak Grove. He cheered on many teams including, Ohio State, the University of Mount Union, and the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Guardians. Duane also liked to camp at Berlin Lake. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nicole Middleton; three grandsons, Kadyn, Adyn, Cole; brother, Jack (Sandy) Artino; sister, Sharon Deack; nephew Brian (Emily) Deack; and great-niece, Nora.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his neighbors, April and family and Olive, as well as the staff of Altercare and Crossroads Hospice.
