Dorothy Sanford

Dorothy Belle Sanford, age 103, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

She was born on April 19, 1923, in Copley, OH, to Edwin and Alice (Chapman) Francisco.

Dorothy worked as a film maker for Electronic Circuit and Design and enjoyed painting, bowling and caring for her flowers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Jean Freeman and Danny Lashley; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Hilker; second husband, George Sanford; daughter, Cathy Hilker; two brothers; and a sister.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
