Doris M. Livengood

Together Again- Doris M. Livengood, age 96, passed away on December 22, 2024. 

She was born on January 22, 1928, in Alliance, to Harold and Estella (Borton) Day.

Doris graduated from Alliance High School and received her RN degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She worked in the surgery department at Alliance Community Hospital for 44 years until her retirement in 1993.

Doris was a member of First Christian Church, AORN and the La Amica Card Club. She enjoyed doing crafts, traveling and camping. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Brett (Cathy) Livengood; daughters, Nancy (William) Eby and Sally McDaniel; sister, Janet Vick; daughter-in-law, Gloria Livengood; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Day; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-granchildren; 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard L. Livengood; son, Mark Richard; and brothers, James and Kenneth Day.

A funeral service will be held at First Christian Church on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
