Donzel L Price

Donzel L. Price, age 85, of Alliance, passed away at 10:50 a.m., Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center.

He was born November 18, 1933 in Calhoun County, West Virginia to Coy C. and Louisa (Bailey) Price.

A graduate of Calhoun County High School, Donzel was employed as a truck driver for ABF Freight for 32 years and a member of the Retired Teamsters Club.

He attended Independent Baptist Church of Alliance and loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing and camping.

Donzel was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. (Haymaker) Price whom he married March 21, 1964; sons, Paul (Jennifer) Price of Canton, Greg (Rhonda) Price of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jerry (Gretchen) Price of Elkins, West Virginia; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and neighbors, Faye Roy, Jessie and Donnie Maggard and Justin and Kelly Maggard and Baby.

Donzel was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 1st at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron.
