Donald C. Gruenbaum

Donald C. Gruenbaum, age 96, of Alliance, passed away on October 4, 2022.

He was born on June 26, 1926 in Alliance to Justus J. Gruenbaum and Fern Leona Wetherill.

Donald graduated from Alliance High School in 1944. He worked for Transue-Williams Steel Forging as a Trim Die Sinker until his retirement.  Donald also worked for the Knights Inn in Canton and the Comfort Inn in Alliance. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, The American Legion #166 and the Alliance Senior Center. Donald served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Those left to cherish his memory are his nephews, Richard L. Crookston and Tom Ottle; nieces, Nancy (John) Felke and Rosemarie Crookston; and friend, Mary Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly J. Gruenbaum, whom he married January 10, 1947 and who passed November 11, 2012.

Interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Salineville, Ohio.
