D. Madison Rudolph Krahling

D. Jean Madison Rudolph Krahling, age 86 of Alliance died at 7:43 a.m., May 30, 2009 at Sterling House of Alliance.
She was born June 15, 1922, in Alliance to John and Florence E. (Lozier) Madison and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Krahling was a graduate of Alliance High School and Mt. Union College, and was an elementary teacher for Alliance Public Schools until her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ, where she was involved with the Cloverleaf Sunday School Class and Trinity Circle of the church. She also was a member of the Association of University Women, Mt. Union Women's Club, Alliance Women's Club, BPOE #467 Woman's Auxiliary and on the drill team, Alliance Pan-Hellenic Club, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Welkins Club, Bridge Club, Tadmor Shrine-Oriental Shrine, Kadish Court Patrol, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #296 of Alliance, Ohio Education Association, National Education Association, and the Alliance Area Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cindy (Ron) Knepp of Alliance, Chandi Rudolph and her partner, Kelly Hartz of Akron; three grandchildren, Lee, Erika, and Samantha; two brothers, Elvin (Jean) Madison and Jack Madison, both of Alliance; and four nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bill Rudolph, Jr. who died in 1979, and her second husband, John Krahling, who died in 2001.
Thank you to the staff and administration at Sterling House for their exceptional care of Mom and kind consideration with her family. They all went above and beyond the call of duty.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Ladies Oriental Shrine Service will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. prior to visitation. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Immanuel United Church of Christ, 208 E.
