Cora B. Jefferson, 82, entered into rest on May 4, 2025.
She was born on December 3, 1942, in Worth County, Georgia, to Cecil and Willie D. (Hargrove) Jefferson.
Cora was a member of Second Baptist Church. She sang in the choir. Her favorite song was “Trouble In My Way.” She served with Women-In-White, the Usher Board and Kitchen Committee. Cora was also long-term volunteer at the Alliance Food Pantry.
She enjoyed cooking and keeping her house perfect. Cora was well known for her barbecue pig-feet.
Cora loved kids and spending time with her family and friends.
Cora leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Cecil Jefferson; sister, Susie Jefferson; niece, Donna Jefferson; nephew, Willie McCrea; great-niece, Keke Ingram; devoted cousin, Elaine Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Jefferson; sisters, Mary and Rosie L. Jefferson; and a nephew, Michael Kevin Jefferson.
Funeral service will be held at Second Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 13th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
