Celina Toby Zorich

Celina T. Zorich, age 75, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 4, 1949, in Cleveland, OH, to Louis and Nettie (Kerrett) Golnick.

Celina graduated from Eastlake North High School and attended classes at Cuyahoga Community College. A talented seamstress from a young age, she maintained a creative curiosity throughout her life by sewing, knitting, and taking art classes. Celina and her husband Don travelled across the country, and enjoyed long weekend trips, community festivals, plays and concerts, and going on long nature walks. She was especially proud of her children and her grandchildren, especially her grandson Sam. (If you knew Celina you knew all about Sam).

We will miss her quick wit, wicked sense of humor, kindness, strength, and the unconditional love she gave readily to her family and friends. Celina was truly a wonderful grandmother, mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, and was just an exceptional human being - it is a blessing to have been part of her life.

Those left to cherish Celina’s memory are her husband of 55 years, Donald J. Zorich; her children, Rebecca (Peter) Braselton, and Matthew (Kara) Zorich; grandchildren, Samuel, Milo, and Graham; sister, Helen (Jesse) DeHay; brother, Perry (Theresa) Golnick; the many nieces and nephews she adored; and her dear friend Liz Roose.

Celina was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Nettie Golnick; and brothers Arnold (Norma), Richard (Marge), David (Mary), and Eugene (Bridget).

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday July 18, 2025 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
