Carole A. Reed

Carole A. Reed (nee Wolfe), 81, passed away at home on Saturday, September 26, 2026 after a brief, but painful, battle with cancer.

She was born July 22, 1945 in Campbell/Youngstown, OH to Stephen and Stella (Lockiec) Wolfe. She graduated from Campbell Memorial High School and during her school career, she was known for excelling in spelling bees. She was raised Catholic and never lost her faith through hard times, even at the end. She worked as a secretary at Robertson Heating Supply for 17 years, which is where she met her current husband. She also worked as a cook at Tannenhauf Golf Course for approx. 30 years up until her illness. She was loved by all of the golfers there and she knew their breakfast orders by heart!

She lived briefly in Ithaca, NY then moved to Alliance, OH which is where she raised her family. She married Thomas L. Reed on June 24, 1982. She loved children and was the epitome of a devoted mother. She was the type of mother we all aspire to be like-patient, generous, and fiercely loving. She poured her entire heart into her family, teaching us by example how to live with kindness, resilience, and joy.

Carole was a fierce competitor and loved playing golf, bocce, shuffleboard, cornhole, and board games with (and against!) her family. She enjoyed being a snowbird and spending the winter months in Florida with Tom where they made many friends and great memories over the years. Her greatest joy was her three granddaughters and she was adored by them as well. She attended many of their sporting events and could be found at the kitchen table playing board games with them at every holiday dinner.

Preceding her in death were her parents Stephen and Stella Wolfe, and a sister Stephanie Thomas.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Reed; her children, Nicholas Mravich, Mark Mravich, Tracy (Andrew) Ferrett, Angela (Ryan) Evans; her grandchildren, Anna Maria Ferrett, Ava Evans, and Addison Evans, as well as a brother Thomas (Carol) Wolfe and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

According to her wishes, cremation will be taking place and there will be no services.
