Carl Minnozzi

Carl William Minnozzi, age 85, of Alliance, was embraced by Heaven at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Bel-Air Care Center.
He was born June 22, 1926, in Yorkville, Ohio to Dominic and Rose (Butera) Minnozzi.
A 1944 graduate of the former Warren Consolidated High School, in Tiltonsville, Ohio, Carl was employed by Allied Chemical as a pipefitter, retiring in 1980, after 20 years of service.
He was a life member of VFW; member of the American Legion of Palm Coast, Florida, former member of the K of C, and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, both in Moundsville, West Virginia.
Carl was an avid golfer and sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, and Browns; and he enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Carl served in the U. S. Navy Seabees, in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.
He was the beloved husband of Mary J. (Cernea) Minnozzi, whom he married August 16, 2001; and he cherished his children, sons, Rick Minnozzi, and Bruce (Gina) Minnozzi, and daughters, Diane Minnozzi, and Nancy Minnozzi, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Tami (Nick) Ward and two step-grandchildren, of New Zealand; brother, Adam (Eva Jean) Minnozzi; sister, Gloria (Joe) Mozie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Violet Pielech, and one brother, Richard.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
