Bruce French

Bruce French, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and master technician, passed away Tuesday December 16, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of dedication, skill and love for his family and his passions.

Born on July 16, 1955 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Charles O. and Janet A French, Bruce was the beloved husband of Susan K (Eberling) French for 49 years.

He was a proud and loving father to Brian French (Lindsey Krauss) of Powell and Jason French (Megan Wallace) of Westerville and a cherished grandfather to Emma French and Olivia French. He is also survived by his brother, Rev. Barry (Sharon) French; a sister, Bonnie French Mitschele; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister who only survived a few days.

After graduating from Sebring High School in 1973 and completing automotive technician training, Bruce dedicated 46 years to the auto industry, witnessing and mastering countless advances in technology. In 2007 his family moved to Columbus, Ohio where he worked for Bob Boyd Lincoln of Columbus. He retired in 2021 after 14 years with Bob Boyd, a career defined by expertise and integrity.

Outside of work, Bruce's passions continued to revolve around cars. A dedicated enthusiast, he enjoyed rebuilding cars, attending car shows and following Nascar. He was an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Some of the most proud moments were watching his two sons play soccer from age 6 through high school. Bruce also found great pleasure in the outdoors, whether on the golf course or tending to his garden, always taking pride in his home-grown tomatoes and meticulous landscaping.

Friends and family benefited from Bruce's talent for home improvement. Whether it was installing simple crown molding or finishing an entire basement remodel, he generously shared his skills, leaving behind a tangible mark of his helpfulness and craftsmanship in the homes of those he loved.

A visitation will be held will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Monday, December 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service following. Rev. Barry French will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
