Beverly Luginbuhl passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 13, 2026.
Beverly was born in Salem, OH. She was 93 years young.
Bev graduated from Leetonia High School in 1951, during which she served as a candy striper at Salem Regional Medical Center. After graduating high school, she went to work for Equitable Life Insurance in Salem. It was here that she met Arthur, an insurance agent at Equitable, and they were married in 1953.
Art and Bev settled in Alliance and began a journey together that would eventually include four children (Mike, Tracey, Amy, and Jim; all raised in Alliance), 11 grandchildren, and, to date, 15 great-grandchildren. Family was everything to Beverly. She was steadfast in her love and support for each and every member of her family.
While her children were growing up, the family’s together time included boating and skiing, mostly at Berlin Reservoir. Significant and favorite memories involved annual vacations on the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania, camping and skiing. Beverly did not much like camping or skiing, but her supportive presence was always there with a smile simply because it was the ‘family’ thing. It was on one of those trips to Pennsylvania when she water skied, for the first and only time anyone can remember. Later in life she would recount stories of the wonderful times skiing on the Allegheny River. Family was everything.
Beverly was a relatively private person but was always the first to reach out and help anyone in her circle of friends that needed support or just someone to talk to.
She was a member of The First Immanual United Church of Christ, Eastern Stars, and she volunteered for many years at the Alliance Senior Citizens Center.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; two brothers; and her husband, Arthur.
Family will host an hour long visitation on Friday July 24th at 10:00 am at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home followed by a short service and procession to Highland Memorial Park where Beverly will be laid to eternal rest with Arthur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Senior Citizens Center, 602 W. Vine St., Alliance, OH 44601 or to the Masonic Village of Sewickley, 1000 Masonic Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143.
