Betty Jane Ott, age 88, of Alliance, died at 11:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born June 13, 1924, in Alliance, to Wallace and Mary (Hendricks) Wagner.
Betty attended Alliance High School and worked at G.C. Murphy's and Alliance Ware during WWII..
Survivors include her children; Jim (Carol) Ott and David (Cheryl) Ott both of Alliance; grandchildren, Jason (Marie) Ott, Misty (Charlie) Sampson of Alliance and Shelby (Matthew) Mille' of Pearl City, Hawaii; great grandson, Riley Sampson; and sisters, Myrtle Ball and Barbara Graham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Ott, who died in 2008; six brothers and three sisters.
Private Family Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Chapel at Alliance City Cemetery with Pastor Neil Orchard of Salem United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Road, Suite 106, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
