Barbara L. Jacobson

Barbara L. Jacobson, age 86, of Alliance passed away at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital on February 22, 2021.

She was born on June 15, 1934 in Youngstown to Don and Nettie (Thomas) Beaumont.

Barbara graduated from Boardman High School in 1952. She then attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. Barbara started her career in pediatric nursing. She was the Nursing Director at the Alliance Health Department until her retirement in 2001. Barbara was a member of First Christian Church, Alliance, Order of the Eastern Star, Alliance Quota Club, and Alliance Women’s Club. She also participated in a book club and card clubs in both Alliance and Boardman. Barb will always be remembered as someone who loved style and beautiful clothing and accessories, but more than that, loved doing special things for people; reaching out and touching us with her thoughtful common sense and humor.

Those left to cherish her memory are grandson, Nick Hoffert; special friend Sharon Andreani; as well as all her other dear friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Paul Sekler; second husband, Vernon Jacobson; daughter, Tammy Jacobson; and twin sister, Bonnie Beaumont Magill.

A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 1141 W Beech St, Alliance, Ohio, on March 20, 2021. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 followed by a luncheon in the church’s fellowship hall.
