Barbara L. (Anderson) Fobean, age 80, of Alliance, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at Alliance City Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio, to James and Helen (Randolph) Anderson.
Barbara was a 1950 graduate of Alliance High School and was employed by Morgan Engineering, Transue and Williams Forging Division and D-Con Company.
She was of the Presbyterian faith and on the board of Mount Union Cemetery. Barbara loved to read and enjoyed riding her bike.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Scott Fobean and Mark Edward Fobean, both of Alliance; and siblings, Shirley (Charles) Sax of Florida, Jim Anderson of Canton and Mary Ellen (John) Clark of Alliance; and longtime friend, Nelson E. Baker of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. James K. McCurdy of First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Mount Union Cemetery.
