Barbara "Barb" Blake, age 94, of Alliance, Ohio, peacefully passed away at her home on July 18, 2026.

She left behind a legacy of love, adventure, and deep devotion to her family and community. Barb was a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest. For many years, she was a familiar face in the community as a long-time driving instructor at Alliance AAA, helping countless local residents safely take to the roads. Her faith and community ties were incredibly important to her. She was a member of the Alliance First Presbyterian Church. Alongside her beloved husband of 60 years, Harold, Barb shared a lifetime of wonderful travel and adventures. Together, they explored the open road as members of the Buckeye Winnie's RV club and spent many winters enjoying the warmth and sunshine in Florida. Closer to home, Barb loved watching the birds in her yard, solving jigsaw puzzles, and earlier in life, staying active with her local line dancing club.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Janet Render; her husband, Harold Blake; and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Blake.

Her memory will be forever treasured by her surviving family, including her loving sisters, Judie Wood and Susan Champion both of Florida; and her children: her son, Steven Blake; her daughter, Amy Good and her husband Tom; and her daughter, Kim Eells and her husband Mark. She was the proud grandmother of Rachel Ketner and her husband, Andy, Allison Good and her husband, Andrew Johnsen, Brian Duchon and his wife, Colleen, Michael Duchon, and his wife Randi, and Alyssa Hudachek, and her husband Sebastian.

Barb’s joy multiplied with the arrival of her precious great-grandchildren, who brought endless smiles to her final years; Henry and Emilia Ketner; James Johnsen; Madeline and Bennett Duchon; Jackson and Jayden Duchon; and Marlie and Willow Hudachek.

Barb will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a bright light in the Alliance community. Her warmth, adventurous spirit, and love for her family will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
