Anice Jane McFadden

September 18, 1940 — June 30, 2023

Anice Jane McFadden (nee Wilson) passed away on June 30, 2023. She was born in Johnstown, PA to Jean and Jay Wilson, and graduated from Louisville High School in 1958. Immediately following high school, she entered the Aultman Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Upon her graduation from the school in 1960, she became a Registered Radiologic Technologist. She eventually retired from Aultman Hospital as the Clinical Instructor for the school of Radiologic Technology.

After retirement, Jane remained active in her profession and community. She was a member of The American Society of Radiologic Technologists, The Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists, and the Aultman College Alumni Association. She was a member of the Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital, The College Club of Canton, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where she was active in the life of the church including serving on the Altar Guild.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Isabelle; and brother-in-law, Richard “Rick” Sherer.

She is survived by her sister, MaryAnn Sherer; nephews, Richard “Jay” (Alyssa) Sherer, Jon Sherer, Maxwell (Erica) Sherer) nieces Lisa (Dean) Griffin, Maryann Warren; and many special great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service will be held on July 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (515 48th St NW, Canton, Ohio 44709) with a visitation one hour prior. Father RJ Johnson will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, The College Club of Canton (PO Box 8433 Canton, Ohio 44711), or The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital (2600 6th Street SW Canton, Ohio 44710).
