Alfred John Anderson, age 82, of Alliance, died at 10:42 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Canterbury Villa.
He was born October 6, 1929, in Alliance, to Alfred T. and Marie (Williams) Anderson and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
John was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his sisters, Shirley Yvonne (Jim) Trussel of California and Carolyn Marie Anderson of Alliance; brothers; and Ronald Martin (Susan) Anderson of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie Anderson, whom he married in 1985 and who died in 1994; brothers, Harold V. Anderson, Carl W. Anderson and Clifford H. Anderson; David R. Anderson; and a sister, Nova E. Whitacre.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio.
