Alan Venables,

Alan J. Venables, Sr., age 66, of Alliance, went Home to be with The Lord at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton.
He was born April 12, 1945, to the late Arthur Venables and Mary ( ) Venables, and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Alan was co-owner and operator of Al and Craig's Service Station.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Sherry Edgar of Alliance; daughter, Kati (Steve) Mueller of Wadsworth; son, Alan (Stacie) Venables of Alliance; brother, Gene (Joanne) Venables of Alliance; sister, Janet (Paul) Predagovic of North Canton; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Logan, Kevin, and Axel Mueller and Brittani, Jordan, and Joseph Venables; and a great-granddaughter, Annaliese Pivato.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held.
